This page briefly lists publicly available things I have had a hand in making: pet projects, my own developments and creative work.
Projects
NetSpark studio
In 2012 my steady interest in Drupal and building websites turned into the NetSpark.ru web development studio. Over the years we have built all kinds of sites, big and small, and keep doing so. Most of all we love complex, unusual projects.
Need a website? Get in touch and we will build it!
Botopotamus
In 2025 I built and launched a platform for creating and hosting fierce botopotamuses, that is, Telegram bots. One of the bots on the platform is a website uptime monitor that reports outages to Telegram and also sends custom notifications via a webhook. The story of the launch is in the note «Botopotamus: raging Telegram bots» (in Russian).
Drupal
I have been working with Drupal in one way or another since about 2006. An earlier version of this home page was built with Drupal, and so are 95% of the NetSpark projects.
From time to time I write notes about Drupal and publish them here, all of them are in the «Drupal» category. I have also translated articles and written and released modules. The full list and the source code are on the «Drupal projects» page (in Russian).
OctoberCMS
In early 2016 I got interested in OctoberCMS and ended up building a new version of this home page with October.
While learning the system, building the site and working with it afterwards, I wrote some code and a few notes. The notes are in the OctoberCMS category, and the plugins are described on the «OctoberCMS projects» page (in Russian).
Typofilter.js
Once I made a small JavaScript plugin for content editors that puts in proper dashes, quotes and other typography. Its description and history are on the Typofilter.js page (in Russian).
Flight of the Conchords translation
I translated «Flight of the Conchords», a funny comedy series, from English into Russian. I did it because the show is great and I like it a lot, and also because I had long wanted to try translating something like that.
All 22 episodes are translated, and no new ones are expected. The Russian subtitles and my comments on the episodes are on the project page.
In Bruges translation
In Bruges is one of my all-time favourite films. I cannot say how many times I have watched it, and I am still not tired of it. Probably that is why I decided to translate it: maybe I would get tired of it along the way? So I did translate it, and I am still not tired of it. But here is the translation.
The Russian subtitles can be downloaded from the In Bruges page.
Cotranslate.Net
In 2011 I launched Cotranslate.net, a social network and collaborative translation service. The site runs on Drupal 6 and uses a fragment-based collaborative translation system I developed myself, for texts, books and subtitles.
The site also has news, a forum and comments, and translators can form groups. There are ratings of translators and translations, search, tags and other bells and whistles.
The project has since been handed over to a group of enthusiasts and I no longer work on it. More about the project and its source code are on the «Cotranslate.net collaborative translation site» page (in Russian).
qTwister, a Twister spinner
Back when I was learning Qt, I wrote a small app: a spinner for the Twister game. I do not use Qt anymore, but the app remains as a keepsake. Its description, source code and a compiled Windows version are on the qTwister page (in Russian).
