After a boring December, the number of TV premieres and returns in January is simply huge.
The final episode of Stranger Things is already out and I'm about to go watch it.
But besides that, you can already watch the second seasons of The Night Manager and Red Eye today.
The Night Manager is a classic spy thriller with Tom Hiddleston. In the first part he was taking down Dr. House, I even wrote a short review (in Russian) 10 years ago. Hugh Laurie doesn't seem to be in the cast of the second season, but I think it'll be interesting enough, worth a watch.
The second show is also nocturnal: red eye is an established English idiom for an overnight flight. Only in the belly of this plane wandering among the clouds, the passengers aren't waving bunches of grapes (as in Joseph Brodsky's poem "Night Flight") — they're dying, suspiciously and mysteriously. All in all, it's a whodunit, also not without a conspiracy of reptilians, illuminati and the British secret services. Not as cool as the first one, but also watchable.
