February turned out no worse than January for new shows and returning ones, dear friends. Here goes:
Vanished, new
Kaley Cuoco loses her fiancé in France and, trying to get him back, ends up in a criminal spy mess. Before this, Kaley starred in a funny crime show about a flight attendant, but this one is not a comedy at all. So after two episodes nothing is clear yet, seems okay.
The Lincoln Lawyer, season 4
Like the old movie, only a series. And here the main character isn't McConaughey, but all Latino and whatnot. Which, they say, is closer to the books. Yes, it's a show based on the books by Michael Connelly, the author who gave us Bosch. A solid legal drama, and the fourth season is good too.
Lord of the Flies, new
A miniseries based on William Golding's famous book about boys who end up on a tropical island and get up to all kinds of savagery there. There turned out to be not that much savagery in four episodes, which is probably why viewers slapped it with a 6.5 on IMDb. Or maybe they don't like the book either — I don't know, I haven't read it myself. But the miniseries is mediocre.
Betrayal, new
A crime drama about either reptilians, the Illuminati and British intelligence, or about marital infidelity. You can listen to a bit of Mancunian accent, but overall it's about nothing.
The Artful Dodger, season 2
A spin-off of Oliver Twist where the Artful Dodger, now on the straight and narrow, is the main character. Thanks to The Artful Dodger, we (Russian viewers) now know that Fagin is pronounced not "Fedgin", as it's usually rendered in Russian, but "Faygin". The first season was very decent, I haven't watched the second yet. But it's already out.
Cross, season 2
The continuation of a slightly odd action crime show with maniacs and murderers. The second season plays out a story à la Jeffrey Epstein. Three episodes are out so far, watchable.
56 Days, new
A love story that ends in a bloody murder. Might be interesting, might not, it comes out on February 18.
The Night Agent, season 3
About a night snacker night operator of a hotline for helping agents of the reptilians, the Illuminati and the American intelligence services in difficult situations. A spy thriller from Shawn Ryan, the creator of The Shield, by the way. The first two seasons were interesting. It comes out on February 19.
CIA, new
Spies, the Illuminati and reptilians again. The description doesn't make much clear, we shall see on February 24.
Scrubs, season 10 revival!
So there you are, living your life, when suddenly you open the list of premieres in the @tv_botopotamus_bot bot, and bam, there's a Scrubs premiere. A revival of the legendary comedy, with the same actors, 16 years later. And what am I supposed to do with that, not watch it on February 26?
