And here's the monthly TV show post. To be honest, I haven't really watched April's new shows yet, but here's what you might (or might not) want to check out.
Twenty Twenty Six
A comedy about the preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted in the USA and Canada. I watched the first episode, it wasn't particularly funny. And its 5.8 rating on IMDb agrees with me.
The Boys
The fifth season of the legendary superhero trash fest is already airing. But as unusual and cool as it was at the start — especially for those who, like me, don't care for all the superhero stuff — it has since slid into some downright tacky vulgarity. But if that doesn't bother you, in addition to Jensen Ackles, this season is also supposed to feature Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins too. In the fifth episode. That'll probably be fun, I've only watched two so far.
Half Man
When I saw the title, I sinfully thought it'd be nice if it were a spin-off of the famous laugh riot Two and a Half Men. About Jake, of course. But no. It's some HBO drama, probably a crime one. Haven't watched it yet, probably will.
Stranger Things: Tales from '85
If you're not sick of the Stranger Things hype yet, here are 10 episodes with the same characters, only in cartoon form. The events take place between seasons 2 and 3. The characters are voiced by different actors, which is normal for a cartoon. The rating isn't great, but if you're not tired of this story yet, you can give it a go. All episodes are already out.
Secret Service
Reptilians, Illuminati and our very own dear Russian secret services land an agent a job in the British government, and a lady from MI6 gets in their way. Probably a “spreading cranberry” of a show, and the rating is low, but if I don't watch it, Comrade Major won't be pleased. Root for the home team!
Widow's Bay
A horror comedy starring Matthew Rhys. About a small town on an island in New England whose mayor decided to revive the place by inviting tourists, and in doing so awakened an ancient curse. Just came out, need to watch it.
Man on Fire
Coming out on Netflix today, a one-against-all action show, I don't know anything about it, will watch.
Prisoner
A crime thriller about transporting a prisoner to testify against his partners in a dangerous business. Also coming out today.
